Anyways, I only have class two days out of the week, so I'm pretty bored out of my skull for the other five. In an hour or so I'm planning on doing some re-decorating and hanging up some pictures that I purchased yesterday.
I purchased some Ansel Adams photographs (a series of them) to hang up. He did a lot of black and white photography of landscapes and took some great photos. I did a project on him in Art IV a few years back. Anyways, I'm going to hang those up. Also going to hang up a few band posters (can't forget my Linkin Park and Metallica) and someone needs to buy me a 30 Seconds to Mars poster. Or I need to buy myself one. Yeah, when I get an apartment, it's going to be pretty nicely furnished. I already have a few pieces of decor and a series of lithographs that are going to serve as a focal point/theme of one of the rooms. Am I an overachiever? Yes. Do I plan ahead? Definitely. Does that make me weird? Probably.
Anyways, defeated Malygos today on my lock. Yes, yes I know I'm way fucking behind the times and should have completed that raid encounter last year. But I don't particularly like raiding. We finished Maly off with 4 minutes still left on the enrage timer. Hah. If I had to choose a favorite raid, I'd choose Obsidian Sanctum. I love that one. It doesn't take more than 30 minutes, it's easy, and you get emblems. I've almost got enough Emblems of Frost to buy something. I don't know if I'm going to buy a cloak (in desperate need of one, I'm wearing a lvl 219 one) or my T10 shoulders. Probably the cloak, since I need it the most.
We beat heroic Halls of Reflection today. Oh my God, it was CLOSE. SO CLOSE. The Lich King was like practically on top of us when we killed the last abomination. We ran like hell to the end. He does walk a little faster in the heroic. My guild members thought it was hilarious when I told him he walked so freakin slow in the regular one, and I asked them if he walked a little faster in the heroic one. Well, now I can tell them that he does.
There's not really much else to say. Umm... my warlock is now geared for Ulduar 25.. not like I've been in there though. I'm not much for raiding, takes too damn long and I don't have the patience for countless wipes. I do however enjoy running the heroic instances. Except Halls of Reflection. That on heroic is a bitch. And I'm a warlock, so it's not like my gear will protect me from getting two-shotted by a mob. Maybe one shot if it's a critical. If warlocks had plate armor, we'd be fucking unstoppable. :)
Blizzard NEEDS to do something about warlocks and threat. Yesterday, I took away aggro from a tank with 46k health. Yes, you read that right. 46k. And he still couldn't keep the fucking mob from coming after me. It's annoying because I have to cut down on my dps so I don't die. I can go well over 3k dps (I think I hit 3.7k the other day, really really close to 4k in some instances now) but I'm having to sit at around 2700 sometimes to keep from dying. Angers me.
Oh I've been getting gear for my paladin too. Been farming Forge of Souls and Pit of Saron for some nice gear. I'm hitting 2.4k-2.6k dps on my pally already, and she's in shit gear. Well, for the most part. She has some T9 shoulders that are really really nice. And some T9 equivalent gloves. Needs a new weapon (sick of looking at that damn mace I've had for the past 4 months). I still suck badly at melee dps. I'm getting the hang of it, though. I've been playing ranged dps for the past three years, so it's not like I have much experience in instances where I run up to the mob and whack the hell out of it. (Not counting demonology spec, which is fun as hell and lets me run up and actually hit stuff as a warlock) For sucking so bad, I still am topping the dps charts. I'm expecting to do well over 4k dps by the time I get the gear equivalent to that of my lock's. Us poor ranged casters can't get as high dps because by the time we cast something, the mob is dead. Or we get interrupted. Or theres fucking spell reflect. (BTW I HATE those new mobs in Forge of Souls, those skeleton guard dudes, I fucking killed myself with my own spells because I didn't notice the spell reflect).

4 gigs of RAM, HD LCD screen, dual core AMD processor, dvd burner (dont care for bluray), nice ATI graphics card, 320 gig HD. Not too bad. I fucking LOVE the sound card. God, it makes music sound absolutely amazing. It makes it sound like you're right there, it honestly sounds like I don't have headphones on (I had to check to make sure the sound was only in the headphones) lol. It's like the equivalent of blasting music in my car. Its awesome. :D
Also have 64 bit version of Win 7. I am never going back to Vista lol.
I seriously said that for like 5 minutes when my album download became available. I feel like Christmas has come early! I have been waiting for this album since 07 (that's when I began to tire a little of A Beautiful Lie even though that album is amazing) so I'm kinda still super excited.
Um, so far I fucking love it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you haven't read any of my blog entries lol. I'm talking about 30STM's This Is War album.
I'll tell you now, it's a little bit different than their two previous albums. Lots of more production on this album than the other two. Still sounds great though, adds more layers to the songs.
Right now, my two faves are "Night of the Hunter" and "This is War". Also really love "Hurricane" even though it's a slower song.
Random, but I'm bored as hell and in the library working on a presentation and paper because my laptop fucking died. It died-ed. Eh. It boots up and whatever, but the screen is blank. Completely blank. I can hear the operating system loading and everything but I just can't see it. I got onto the BIOS screen for about 2 seconds then it died again.
I'm opening up the case and peering in it to see if any cables are loose or anything. Yeah, I know you're not supposed to open laptop cases. Especially if you don't know what you're doing. But I'd like to think with all my computer experience and classes that I have some sort of idea as to what's going on in there.
I've come up with some possible scenarios of what it could be. I'm thinking that the graphics card has KO-ed, but have no way to check because I don't have an external monitor here that I can plug up to my laptop. I'd need to get into the BIOS and enable the on board graphics adapter again (because it was disabled since I have a graphics/video card in one of the PCI slots) and then check it to see if the display comes back up. If so, then it was the graphics card. Could also be that a cable has worked its way loose. Could also be some component on the motherboard that's gone bad (I hope that's not the case, I'd have to replace the whole damn motherboard). Could possibly also be the primary hard drive, but I really don't think it is. Light still comes on and the disks are spinning and the OS loads. Could be some random fucked up software thing, but I really think it's a hardware issue, since I can't even get into the BIOS. Could be the screen itself, but I highly doubt it because the picture looked just fine yesterday and the screen lights up, it just appears blank.
Ok so my experience with Windows 7 so far.... it's a HELL of a lot better than Vista. It's kind of like a cross between Vista and OS 10, because of the icon taskbar thingys. Windows Media player 12 is like a cross between WMP 11 and WMP 9. I like it. A lot.
My computer is so much freaking faster. SO much faster.
You can tell I'm a nerd because the only things I usually ever ask for for Christmas are electronic items, video games, and music. Last year for Christmas I got an iPod Touch, still working beautifully one year later. Although, there is a scratch on the screen protector (so I need to get another one of those).
Anyway, not giving away any spoilers, but the ending amused me. Well not so much the ending, but people's reactions to the ending.
Completely random, but my fave part was definitely the part with the elevator. I burst out laughing so hard. It was just so fucking awkward and hilarious.
Ok yeah and Aro is awesome. He's just so cheerful, but so evil at the same time.
